Founder, Chase Distillery
William Chase exports luxury vodka and gin to more than 35 countries from his Single-Estate farm in Hereford. He founded Chase Distillery in 2008 and the family-owned business now produces 14 variations of gin and vodka.
The highly skilled, artisan process uses a bespoke copper batch pot and unique 70 foot rectification column- the tallest in Europe; this results in beautifully pure vodka that is deliciously smooth and has a naturally sweet and creamy taste.
The Original Chase Vodka received the title of World’s Best Vodka at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2010. It’s this award winning spirit that they redistill with carefully chosen botanicals to make their range of gins.
A potato farmer by trade, he already boasts one successful consumer business under his belt. In 2008 he sold his crisp brand, Tyrrells, for nearly £40m. Chase Distillery now sells 10,000 bottles a week. It has achieved critical as well as commercial success.
“As family farmers at heart we’re passionate about sharing what goes into making our award-winning spirits – from field to bottle,” says William.
