Founder & CEO, Nim's Fruit & Veg Crisps
Frustrated by a lack of healthy, great tasting snacks, Nimisha Raja founded Nim’s Fruit & Veg Crisps in 2012 to fill the gap in the market.
The business is based in Kent, where a 10,000 sq ft, BRC accredited, bespoke factory creates multi-award winning air-dried crisps made using just one ingredient and producing virtually no waste.
Founder and CEO Nimisha says her proudest achievements are the many firsts that the business has achieved: “Nim’s is the original fruit crisp brand. We created a product that led to the invention of a new category in FMCG of air dried fruit crisps.”
Having perfected the air-drying technique to introduce an extensive array of fruit crisps, Nimisha then introduced another first – a range of award winning air-dried vegetable crisps, swiftly followed by the first ever range specially created for children. The brand’s innovative nature has won it international success – Nim’s currently exports to Sweden, Germany, Italy, France, Belgium, Israel, Saudi Arabia, China and Hong Kong.
Nim’s is an innovator, a brand and a proud British manufacturer. Having initially contracted out manufacturing to Eastern Europe, Nimisha took the bold step of setting up her own production in Kent where more than 70% of the fresh produce is sourced from UK farmers.
‘Having our own production facility means we have complete control from start to finish allowing us to meet not only ours but retailers’ exacting standards’. The 11-strong range is continually expanding with the current favourite being pineapple crisps!
