CEO, Quantum Care
Maria joined Quantum Care in 2003, bringing with her decades of experience in the health, social care and not for profit sectors, along with a deeply personal goal to improve the quality of life for elderly care residents.
Quantum Care is an award-winning not-for-profit care provider which delivers residential, respite and day care services across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Essex. Although it already had a local reputation for good quality care, Maria has successfully developed its national dementia reputation, a strong quality focus, an appetite for innovation, strong financial stability and national recognition as one of the best residential care providers in the country.
One of the key benefits of Quantum Care’s not-for profit status is that all money raised is then reinvested into the care it provides. This means that there are no shareholders to please and Maria can invest in innovative research to advance the provision of care.
As chief executive and also as chair of the National Care Forum, a membership body for over 100 not-for-profit care providers, Maria strives to contribute to the wider care sector agenda and champion what she describes as, “our often marginalised and least recognized care sector.”
