Founder, Moda Living and Caddick Group
“Developments are far more than bricks and mortar,” says Johnny Caddick, director of property conglomerate Caddick Group and managing director of its Build to Rent subsidiary, Moda Living. “Social responsibility and making a positive impact on the customer experience and the built environment should be the driving force behind any project.”
Based in Yorkshire, but with offices across the UK, Johnny’s businesses have invested heavily in the acquisition, development and construction of commercial, residential and retail projects around the UK. With a track record of successful delivery – revenues rose £152.4 million last year – Caddick Group’s growth shows no sign of slowing.
“We take a strategic approach to property by focusing on sectors we believe to have strong future growth fundamentals.” he explains. Caddick Group was established by property entrepreneur Paul Caddick 39 years ago and to this day takes the same long-term view which enables the firm to focus on creating large pipelines of opportunities. Caddick Group’s partners include UK institutions with a particular focus on Build to Rent and industrial/logistics. Caddick Group also has a strategic land decision which is at the heart of the land supply for housing and industrial opportunities.
Outside of his business endeavours, Johnny is a keen fan of Leeds Rhinos. Caddick Group is the owner of the club and Headingley Stadium which is undergoing a £44 million redevelopment due for completion summer 2019.
