Jennie Johnson MBE

CEO, Kids Allowed

When Jennie Johnson became a mother for the second time and failed to find quality childcare for her two children, she decided to launch Kids Allowed.

Kids Allowed offers a holistic solution to parents, offering nursery places for under 5’s, care that wraps around the school day and school holidays for older children. It’s popular Parent Concierge services allows parents to drop off dry cleaning, organise children’s haircuts in the pop up salon, book babysitting services and most loved of all, offers free tea and coffee for parents in the morning. This emphasis on “looking after mums and dads too” is very much appreciated by parents who often juggle very busy lives.

Kids Allowed has six purpose-built centres in the North West, designed around children’s needs including direct access to natural outdoor space from every room.  Two new centres will open in Manchester in 2018 creating over 100 jobs.

In 2016, Jennie was awarded an MBE for Services to Apprenticeships. She says, “we focus on developing exceptional colleagues who in turn deliver an exceptional service.”
