Since 2009, Dennis has grown from a small but ambitious publishing firm to the UK’s sixth largest consumer magazine publisher and multi-platform media company. “For more than 30 years we were small and fiercely independent,” explains chief executive James Tye. “We now have a portfolio of more than 30 brands and sell over 2.5 million magazines every month.”

James says his drive comes from the rewarding purpose of informing, entertaining and inspiring millions of people each month through Dennis’ brands. “We aim to be brilliantly different in everything we do and this starts with our people. We value talent above all else and we celebrate being both individually bold as well as highly agile and collaborative in our approach.”

Leading a business with a conscience is a priority for James. That’s why Dennis works closely with The Heart of England Forest, a charity aiming to plant 30,000 acres of native woodland – a forest the size of Birmingham – to help reverse decades of forest decline.

The company also recently announced a sale to Exponent, a private equity firm with a strong track record in media. By doing this, the company has secured its own bright future and a mandate for growth and further innovation: “Our vision is to be the most dynamic media company in the UK, so we can continue to inspire, entertain and inform our audiences for years to come.”
