Discouraged by the lack of healthy children’s food on the market, Hillary wanted to cook up something different. Her recipe, Little Dish: fresh, healthy food specifically nutritionally designed for toddlers and young children.
Founded in 2006, Little Dish only uses 100% natural ingredients and no added salt or sugar. Every recipe is developed with a nutritionist and then tested by a team of ‘Tiny Tasters’, including Hillary’s children in the early days.
Having started in just a handful of shops, Little Dish now feeds nearly 200,000 children each week and can be found nationwide in all the major supermarkets including Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose and Asda.
Hillary is proud to play an active role in facing down today’s children’s nutrition crisis and the whole Little Dish team is committed to making a positive difference in children’s health.
Hillary says success is down to identifying a gap in the market and hiring great people who are talented, hard-working and also motivated by your company mission. There will be difficult times, she says, but you will be rewarded if your idea is strong and you have a clear plan of where you are going.
