“Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do – it’s that simple. We want to help organisations become more sustainable from both a commercial and environmental perspective,” says Harvey Laud. As CEO of environmental consultancy Helistrat, Harvey backs businesses in their efforts to boost their green performance, reduce running costs and encourage their people to join in.
Helistrat has recently opened a second office in Glasgow and forged partnerships with Poundland, Marks and Spencer, Britvic and Apple amongst others.
“Partnering with us, businesses can demonstrate their sustainability credentials on a global stage. This gives them a competitive edge while making our planet better for future generations.”
Since the company launched in 2009, Harvey’s approach has seen Helistrat become one of the fastest growing environmental consultancy businesses in the UK. It has been shortlisted for the National Recycling Awards and the PFM Awards for Excellence.
It’s not awards, however, but investment in people that drives Harvey. “Don’t try to lead people, stand alongside them and lead together,” he says. “Through happy staff, we get positive results from positive endeavour, creating a brand that people are proud of. That means a lot to me.”
