Debra Barber

Debra Barber

CEO, Cardiff International Airport

Deb joined Cardiff Airport as Operations Director in May 2012 after retiring from a successful 28 year career as Group Captain within the Royal Air Force.

In December 2015 she was announced as Cardiff Airport’s Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer, before being named CEO in February 2017.

Under her leadership there have been significant improvements and changes to the airport’s route network, infrastructure and customer experience. These have included a new Qatar Airways service to Doha (due to launch in 2018); the establishment of a Flybe base at the airport; the introduction of a new airline –  Iberia Express – plus the growth of low cost carriers, Vueling and Ryanair.

The Airport Board has huge ambition for the growth of the business, and Deb leads the Airport team through the development and delivery of the Airport’s strategic business plan and upcoming Master Plan.
