Debbie Wosskow OBE
CEO, Love Home Swap
Debbie Wosskow is a doyenne of the sharing economy. Her peer-to-peer travel platform, Love Home Swap, is the world’s biggest home swapping group, and in 2014 she authored the independent review ‘Unlocking the Sharing Economy’, which made recommendations to the UK government on how best to develop the burgeoning sharing economy.
Debbie founded Love Home Swap in 2011; membership allows users to swap or use points to stay in more than 100,000 properties across the world. Travellers get to experience locations through the eyes and home comforts of locals. Part of the club’s success is attributable to its trademark algorithm that significantly increases member success rates when searching for a home swap.
As well as her role as founder and CEO of Love Home Swap, Debbie is Chair of Sharing Economy UK, a trade body set up to represent and champion the UK’s sharing economy businesses. She was made an OBE in 2016 for her services to business.
Debbie launched her first business, a marketing and communications consultancy, when she was just 25. Her hunger to disrupt has not dissipated: Love Home Swap continues to expand its global reach, recently acquiring one of its main competitors – part of its plans to consolidate the sector globally over the next 12 months.
It’s clear that Debbie is committed to building the best home possible for the sharing economy in the UK.
