Co-founder, Evoke Creative
What unites a fast-food restaurant, a trainer retailer and your local cinema? Simple, the in-store touch screens you use to browse and buy. As co-founder of Evoke Creative, Dean is the force behind some of the country’s most innovate designs and technology when it comes to self-service kiosks and digital signage.
Based out of the Wirral, Dean Ward’s creation is committed to always delivering the extraordinary. It works with some of the world’s biggest brands, including Google, McDonald’s and Tesco. Between 2015 and 2016, Evoke’s turnover rocketed 40% to £8.9 million and in 2017 it grew by more than 30% to £15 million.
International markets are a large part of Evoke’s growth story. It has exported more than 180,000 of its interactive digital kiosks, signage solutions and video walls to customers, operating in more than 40 countries, including India, China, the US, Australia and New Zealand.
Dean and co-founder Neil Clark say UK businesses need to work together for the country to achieve its potential. Putting words into action, Evoke Creative encourages an ideas-rich, collaborative culture within and between businesses, running its own internship scheme in partnership with several universities and hosting regular ‘Innovation Days’ at its offices where new ideas are birthed, developed and shared.
Dean prides himself on being a ‘local boy’ and frequently works with Wirral Council to promote the local area as a vibrant business location. His commitment to the Wirral is demonstrated by his investment in a new headquarters, which all team members helped design and shape.
