Chief Executive, Catch22
Chris Wright leads Catch22, the not-for-profit business that works with local authorities and government across England and Wales, delivering outcomes for more 30,000 people through education, justice, employment and children’s social care. “We set out on this journey in 1788, having been founded as The Philanthropic Society. Our goal now, as it was then, is to deliver social benefit by turning chaotic lives around.”
Under Chris’s leadership Catch22 has moved from the traditional charity model to becoming a sustainable social business. “Key personal highlights for me over the past five years include launching the Catch22 Multi Academies Trust in 2014, becoming a Tier 2 Transforming Rehabilitation provider, launching our social investment team and winning the Big Society Capital Business Impact Challenge.”
He adds: “I am particularly proud of the work we do more widely to support others to transform their services; from advising government behind closed doors through to supporting and investing in big ideas and small delivery charities.”
